Our memory has a layered structure, but these layers can intertwine in a weird way, creating very complex connections.
This album contains sound experiments on the investigation of these layers.
In the period from 2015 to 2016 through my hands passed several cassette portals,
and with them cassettes from around the world bought at random. I began to record various sounds back and forth, accelerate and stretch, superimpose fragments of different tapes, emphasizing the aspects of film sound and its effect on consciousness.
As a result, I got a patchwork sound carpet, where the tracks have not a standard structure, which is more like a memory device than a mathematically verified one. And when they get into resonance with the listener's consciousness, these records can cause salivation or, to put him to sleep, take him to his memory in distant places. Compositions deliberately do not contain specific and clear images, in order to avoid any correct or incorrect interpretation. It is a sound environment for exercises with your own consciousness.
Also, if you manage to make your cassette player play backwards, then the listener will open a secret album, where the otherworldly sounds will be completely familiar. And the fact that it was understandable acquires a completely different meaning, and the cause-effect relationships change places.
The conclusion from this work is that many things become clear and acquire their meaning, only when returning to them from somewhere from far away.
